The Hi-MO 5m solar 415-watt solar module

P anel giant Longi Solar, have released a new panel to their Hi-MO 5 series. The latest model is rated at 415w and has impressive 21.25% efficiency level. The new addition is aimed at the commercial sector, but its actually small enough to be used on any residential project, as its size is similar to many other panels currently on the market. It’s less than 2m² in size, and also has a short circuit rating of less than 15Amps.
54 cells, that are based upon the established 182mm M10 wafer that is has found great success so far in the market. The cells are P Type silicon that are half-cut and gallium doped to give very low Light Induced Degradation (LID). “Light aging” is a big concern with solar panels, so having success in that area is vitally important.
The panel is supported by a 25-year performance guarantee and the technology it uses has won Longi awards from the RETC (Renewable Energy Testing Centre) and also the PVEL (PV Evolution Labs). The physical size of the panel is 1722mm L x 1134mm W, which as mentioned earlier, this panel weighing in at less than 23kgs is completely suited for installations on residential roofs. One man can move it around.
The panel's general specifications are in line with other, similar products currently available, so compatibility is high with current installation equipment standards and equipment.
The Hi-MO 5 series won LONGi the 2021 Intersolar Award for its advanced technology and innovation. By the end of 2021, Hi-MO 5 modules with 72 cells (144 half-cut cells) had been supplied to some 600 clients in 57 countries, with cumulative shipments exceeding 10 GW.
