What if you able to use the sun to make electricity from solar panels, then make them more efficient from the cooling effect of water extracted from a process that uses waste energy from the panels themselves? What about if we could use that water to help grow crops?

Talk has it that Elon Musk is ramping up production of Tesla’s new Version 3 Solar Roof Tiles. They are working to push out enough for 1000 homes per week. The uptake of the earlier V2 type did not meet forecasts, so they are back with a new better, model. Now with a 23% efficiency rating, this could spark interest.

Advances in perovskite technology continue to excite the solar world. Recent steps in efficiency and durability appear to herald the technology as not just a distinctive branch of solar research, but is actually shaping up to be a major direction or THE direction in the near future.

When mapping out a solar install, having enough space to put the panels is an ongoing problem. Some roofs are great, so there is no problem in getting what you want up there. But its more of an issue with residential solar than with commercial or solar farm projects. In many cases, on a tight roof, only the highest out put panels can really make the effort worthwhile. But there is a price to pay for that, so buyers need to be careful.

Panel giant Longi, have released a new panel to their Hi-MO 5 series. The latest model is rated at 415w and has impressive 21.25% efficiency level.
